The Club Patinatge Artístic Olot is made up of more than one hundred thirty athletes, including skaters and coaches aged between five and thirty-five. The club has different levels and types of skating, from the new members who have joined this year to those who are at the level of competition in both individual and show group categories.
The beginnings of the Club Patinatge Artístic Olot go back to a section of the Club Hoquei d'Olot, which was set up as a club in 1983. The first event, with 60 skaters trained for four months by Josep Hernández, took place during the 1985-86 season. The great acceptance of this sport led the board to decide to include figure skating in the Club, forming a new mixed board between skating and hockey. The club became known as CPH Olot, Club Patí Hoquei Olot.
